Fall Bucket List

Let me just start by saying that I'm sorry for being so M.I.A...we were in Germany traveling and then had our best friends wedding in Savannah, GA so I took a bit of a break to enjoy time with my husband and our friends. Now we're back in SF and I'm getting back into the swing of things. While we were in Germany we got a little taste of the cooler temperatures, so I'm ready to welcome the fall season with open arms. I've compiled my fall bucket list below. What's on your's?

1. Host a Friendsgiving. We have a huge dining room table that needs to be put to good use. This could be a great tradition my husband and I start with our closest friends. Hosting a Friendsgiving is a great way to have a pre-thanksiging dinner with your best friends before everyone heads home to their families. Thanksgiving is all about giving thanks and gratitude so sharing that with your bests is totally necessary. Pick a location, guest list and have each of your friends being their favorite Thanksgiving dish.

2. Pick out pumpkins at a pumpkin patch. We usually carve pimpkin but since we live in San Francisco and don't have any outdoor space to display our pumpkins (without getting 91753926 fruit flies) it looks like we will be leaving our pumpkins in-tact this year.

3. Go to an apple farm and go apple picking. I can't remember the last time I went apple picking. Apples are in season during the fall months and there are so many amazing dishes, ciders and sauces you can make with them.

4. Make an apple pie all from scratch. I've made an apple pie before but have always cheated by using the store bought crust. So this year, I'm challenging myself to make the whole thing from scratch. Any maybe if I'm fancy, I will cut our cute apple shapes for the topping.
