Favorite Daily Devotional

Starting the day reading my devotional really kickstarts my day and encourages me to apply God's word to my everyday life. There are so many different devotionals out there, some that are based around more scripture and others that apply scripture to daily life, which I tend to gravitate more towards. Below are my favorite devotionals...

Savor by Shauna Neiquest

When I found out Shauna was releasing a daily devotional I knew I had to have it. I had just finished reading her book Bread and Wine (if you haven't read it..you need to, especially if you like recipes). Her text was so relatable so I knew her devotional would be even better...sure enough it is! She breaks down scripture and applies it to certain situations or everyday life that really open up my eyes and see Jesus' Word different.

Jesus Calling by Sarah Young

This was my first devotional that I started reading. It's written from the point of view of Jesus, which gives the book a sense of intimacy with the Lord.

My Utmost For His Highest by Oswald Chambers

This is a classic. My husband and friends love this devotional. It's a bite more wordy and scripture heavy, which I find difficult at times but nonetheless it's a great devotional.

I always love to learn about new devotionals. What's are some of your favorites?
