Okay, so highlighters are literally my life! Yes I realize I just shared some of my beauty favorites, but purposely didn't include any highlighters. Now let's be honest, I am a highlighter phene - in my book, there's nothing better than a really good highlight (seriously, gorgeous!). I love the way a highlight grabs the light on your face and makes you glow. I get compliments almost everytime I wear it. I apply highlight on the tops of my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose, center of my forehead and a little on my cupids bow and chin.
My Favorite Highlighters
1. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in the shade Champagne Pop is my newest highlight to the family and my all-time favorite. Becca Cosmetics collaborated with Jaclyn Hill (one of my favorite YouTube beauty bloggers) to create this highlight. Jaclyn's vision for Champagne Pop was to create a summertime glow for all skin tones - from the fairest to the darkest. Champagne Pop is a super pigmented rose gold color with both pink and gold iridescence. The pinks and golds adds more warmth to the skin to give you that summertime glow. It's a bit sheer, which is great because you have control more over the product - you can do more of a subtle natural highlight or build it up for a more dramatic look. This just came out to Sephora.com July 2nd and in-stores on July 16th, so definitely get your hands on this limited product before it sells out!
2. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in the shade Opal is an all time favorite! In fact, if Jaclyn Hill didn't collaborate with Becca then this would still be my go-to highlighter. I love the way this illuminizer absorbs and reflects light. Opal gives you more of a golden glowing highlight, which is different from Champagne Pop because there isn't any rose and pink undertones. The shade opal is ideal for my skin tone and darker. However, If you're super fair get the shade Moonstone.
3. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in the shade Luminous Light is more of a beige skin tone color. This highlighter is the most subtle of the three, but packs a big punch in the light. Think of luminous light of more of a champagne pearl color that gives you a soft, incandescent candlelit glow.
