I don't drink enough water. Seriously though, sometimes I'll go a full day without drinking any water, which is terrible. My problem is I don't like the taste of water..and I know what you're thinking, it doesn't taste like anything; but it does. And don't even get me started on Aquafina or Dasani...no thanks! (Any one else with me on that one?) Needless to say, I've started infusing my water with different fruits and found myself finally going to the refrigerator for water. Bingo! Here are a few of my favorite infused water recipes that have me going to the kitchen for more. Do you have any other favorites? I'd love to hear your favorites in the comments below.
STRAWBERRY + MINT
STRAWBERRY + LEMON
LIME + STRAWBERRY + CUCUMBER + MINT
ORANGE + LEMON + LIME
LEMON + CUCUMBER + MINT
To make the infused water, all you have to do is slice the fruit how you want, drop in the water, and start drinking. Usually I'll have a pitcher full of water and just drop the fruit in there to drink throughout the day. The longer the fruit is in the water, the more flavor your water will be (yumm!!). Be sure to keep your water in the refrigerator so the fruit stays fresher longer. And replace the fruit after it starts to soften and/or turn the water cloudy.
