London Time

We've been in London for the past few days and it's been a whirlwind of a trip as we're still adjusting to the London time. We're here for my husband's work conference so between meetings, cocktails and dinners, we've tried to cram in as much as possible since there is so much to do, and the time is not in our favor.

We landed around 1pm on Sunday so had the rest of the day to explore. These images are from our first day in the city. I'm completely in love with London and was 'that girl' stopping to take pictures of everything - it's just so beautiful and picturesque.

We headed to Covent Garden, then walked to Neal's Yard for some vibrant colors. Neal's Yard is down a small alley but so colorful and quaint. At this point we were hangry (not misspelled...hungry + angry) so decided popped into the cute spot called Homeslice for a few slices of pizza. It was so thin and delicious - I definitely recommend stopping in for a slice if you're in the area.

Our jet lag started kicking in and needed some caffeine to get through the day, so we stopped for lattes and crodoughs (for research purposes) in Timberyard Sevin Dias. Then continued on our walk to Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, and the London Eye.

After exploring we headed to Gordon's Wine Bar, which is the oldest wine bar in London. If I'm being honest it didn't look like much from the outside (pictured below) but the inside is a dark cave with candle light lighting , which was super cute and romantic. But after a 10 hour flight and jet lag setting in (aka it was making us tired), so moved outside to finish our bottle of wine. Then headed to Barbecoa for a Sunday roast dinner. If you're in London for a Sunday, you must eat a Sunday roast dinner.

The weather was dreary for the first few days (very similar to SF weather) so I knew I needed to layer. I threw on this Topshop cardigan (on sale) per my outfit to add some warmth. Then when the wind picked up, there on my Banana Republic trench coat. Both these pieces have been a staple in my wardrobe. The trench is great year-round in San Francisco.
