I cannot believe August is almost over (I feel like I just did my beauty favorites from July). This month's beauty favorites are some of some reason I feel like I'm giving you the holy grail with this month's products. Some of them aren't makeup products, but they are my holy grail for beauty.
What are some of your favorite beauty products this month?
Glamglow masks are my favorite masks in the world!! I've used all of them and have never been disappointed. I use this mask 1-2 times a week and my skin really feels incredible after. It has a tingly-burning feel for the first few minutes but that's totally normal for this mask. It's kind of gritty when you're putting it on your face, almost like a sandy texture with chunks of green leaf but it dries hard and you will see your pores through the mask, which I love (yes, I'm weird!). After 10-minutes, you can wash off the mask and the sandy texture turns into an amazing exfoliator leaving your skin feeling clean and refreshed. If you're afraid to commit to the full size, I highly recommend trying the travel size. I also love their new brightening treatment mask and their hydrating mask.
I didn't realize how much a makeup brush mattered until I could tell the difference in the makeup application between my old brushes and my new Sigma brushes (who would have thunk!?!). Anyways...you guys know how much I love my highlighters - well I had been using the wrong brush because I was being too cheap to buy another one (there I said it!) but finally caved in and bought the F35 tapered highlighter brush from Sigma. This brush has literally changed my highlight game forever, it's soft and grabs onto the product perfectly. This is hands down my favorite brush to highlight my cheekbones, forehead, nose and chin.
Let me just preface by saying that I get stopped all the time from people asking what perfume I'm wearing. I started wearing Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb 6 years ago and haven't thought twice about switching to another. It has a floral scent but not in an overpowering or make you dizzy kind of way. The only downside to this perfume is it's on he pricier side, but it lasts a long time.
I rarely ever use self tanner, but as I get older and hearing about more and more people around me having skin cancer it definitely makes me want to use more of this stuff. I've tried a bunch of different self tanners throughout the years but this one is my go-to. I use the mitt to apply in circular motions to make sure it's even and doesn't turn my hands a different color. And the smell isn't as strong as some of the other self tanners out there.
