Weekend Recap

LifestyleVeronica ArrietaComment

This past weekend was our one year wedding anniversary. Originally we were going to go back to Trentadue Winery, where we got married but decided to stay in the city instead. We celebrated on Saturday because Sundays are usually our relax and chill day before the work week starts.

On Saturday, I woke up to a sweet letter from Mike with an agenda on what our day looked like: brunch at La Garage in Sausalito, hike to Point Bonita Lighthouse (where we've both been wanting to go!), massages at our favorite little place in Chinatown, back home to watch the Alabama game (Roll Tide!), and then dinner at Cocotte where we sipped on the wine served at our wedding. How perfect! We put our phones away and got to enjoy each other. The day couldn't have been planned any better. We felt so loved by our family and friends that reached out to us on our wedding anniversary.

If french toast is on the menu....its mine!!

Hiking with the Golden Gate Bridge

Decided to scale the cliff...

The lighthouse was pretty awesome. You had to go over this bridge (that was shakey!!!). It's only open from 12:30pm-3pm.

I've had my eye on this dress ever since Emily Schuman from Cupcakes and Cashmere launched her clothing line in Nordstrom and Shopbop. I loved how it was the perfect dress to dress up or down, and can easily be transitioned from summer into fall. This Cupcakes and Cashmere Laurel chiffon shift dress is made with a sheer, ivory-colored material that's lightweight and great quality. I especially love the drop waist because it adds that flirty touch. This dress is perfect for summer with these sandals. But also perfect for fall when topped with a leather tailored leather jacket and booties. I'm not typically a dress girl, but this dress will be on repeat for me!

Fort Mason Community Garden

This is a hidden gem to the city, and where I call my happy place. My husband an I stumbled upon it on a walk through the city -- it's a little slice of heaven in this busy city. There are 125 plots in the garden, with a long 7-year+ waiting list. Yes, crazy, huh! I love strolling through the garden on a weekend to clear my head, pray and take in all it's beauty. The owners of the plot can grow whatever they please in or out of the greenhouse. So you'll see fruits and vegetables, succulents galore and flowers of all shapes and sizes. There's something so peaceful and relaxing about walking through a garden and seeing people gardening their plot - not to mention they are always friendly! There are picnic tables throughout the garden, which I've heard is a cool place to have some wine and cheese on a pretty night in SF...but we still have yet to do it!

Apps I Love: Munchery

What's for dinner? These three words are used way too often in my vocabulary. We all have those nights when you're exhausted and just don't want to cook and the easiest option is to just grab something fast, but those options aren't usually the best one for you.

Well my friends, there is an app for that and I'm literally obsessed: Munchery

Munchery is reinventing the weeknight dinner and making it ridiculously easy to put a delicious and healthy meal on the table.  Every day, they partner with local chefs to bring you freshly made main dishes, sides, desserts and drinks. Munchery even offers options for vegetarians, kids, low-card, wheat-free and more. When they deliver, all you have to do is follow the instructions to warm up in the oven or microwave.

I know there are so many food delivery services out there now, but Munchery has a special place in my heart. No really, I check Munchery's menu every single day (even if I'm not ordering) just to see what they are offering that day - I know I'm nuts!

They are currently in the San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, Los Angeles and New York so if you live in any of these places I highly recommend trying it.  You can get $10 off your first order by using this link

I mentioned in my first post that I'd bring you up to speed on my life. After all, after the proposal comes finding a photographer for engagement photos, right. We took our engagement photos in Golden Gate Park and Baker Beach. This was our first time having a photographer shoot us together so we tried to have as much fun with it! Here are some of our favorites...
