leopard print for fall

Trend Alert: LEOPARD

FashionVeronica ArrietaComment

Leopard print is fall’s most powerful trend - it's a statement that can work with anything. It's truly a neutral—they’re made up of brown, beige, and black, after all. It looks amazing with all black, but looks great with color as well. You can wear leopard or cheetah print (yes, I know the difference, I just got back from a safari! ;-) with with almost anything. However, if you fear that the leopard print will swallow you whole, then wear it in small doses.

One of the most important things to keep in mind if your wearing leopard print is to know your environment because it can create a bit of a shock factor. For example, can you wear it to work? Yes but perhaps try it as an accessory or in a pump. Leopard print is your closet MVP for fall and winter, and I'm going to show you how to incorporate it into your wardrobe.

PS - The difference between cheetah print and leopard print is in the spots. Cheetah spots have simple dark spots, while leopard spots have two-toned spots.

Dip Your toe into the Leopard Trend

If you just want to test out the waters with leopard print then try it with your footwear or by adding a clutch. I love an all black outfit and then throwing on a leopard heel or clutch to it, it just takes your whole look up a notch.

Take Your Leopard to the Next Level

This might be a stretch for most people, but think of a a leopard print dress as an alternative to a LBD (little black dress). If you have the courage to throw on a leopard print dress, then throw on a black clutch and black heel to keep it tones down.

Throw On The Leopard Coat

When I was a child I had a leopard print coat and loved it...too bad it doesn't fit anymore! You can throw on a leopard print coat with anything and look very put together. If you're lazy, tired, hungover - just throw on a leopard coat.

How will you be rocking the leopard print trend this fall? Are you more simple with accessories or loud with a coat? I'd love to know in the comments below.
